In October 2018, the Nuns on the Bus went on the road to Mar-a-Lago, traveling more than 5,600 miles to 21 states over the course of 27 days, to expose the lies and tell the truth about the harmful effects of the 2017 tax vote—and to hold congressional Republicans accountable for voting in favor of this disastrous tax law. The “Tax Justice Truth Tour” launched in Los Angeles, October 8 with a rally near the beach of Santa Monica, and ended in West Palm Beach, Florida, near Mar-a-Lago with a “Fiesta for the Common Good,” in between traveling to congressional districts where the incumbent chose to support the deceitfully named “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.” 

The tour consisted of 54 events in 44 cities across the country and  featured rallies, lobby visits at the offices of elected officials, site visits at social service agencies, and Town Halls for Tax Justice. At each event, the sisters met concerned constituents and carried those concerns to Members of Congress and all the way to President Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
